Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to journeys arranged by 1616 Travel Bhutan, a travel company based in Thimphu and licensed by the Department of Tourism, Bhutan.

Your journey

A journey is confirmed once your itinerary has been agreed in writing and your visa has been processed. Itineraries are personalised, so the final inclusions are those stated in your confirmation.

Changes

Weather, road conditions, festival dates and monastery access can change at short notice in Bhutan. Where this happens we will arrange the closest suitable alternative and keep you informed.

Travel insurance

We ask every traveller to hold valid travel insurance covering medical care, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation and personal belongings.

Responsibility

We plan and operate your journey with care, but we are not liable for delays or disruptions caused by circumstances outside our control, such as weather, flight schedules or government decisions.
